Kids India 2024: Show Report
The Kids India 2024 show has just taken place in the Jio World Conference Centre in Mumbai.
We first attended this show back in 2017, when the seasonal monsoons were so heavy that the show was actually washed out on Day 1. We arrived on Day 2 expecting to find a drenched show hall, but in fact the hall and all the exhibition booths were perfect, with all the show people having worked very hard to ensure that 'the show must go on.' This was a perfect symbol of how people in India always find a way, despite the challenges they face.
Our Managing Director Steve Reece gave a presentation at this year's show helping the audience to understand 'How To Achieve International Distribution For Toys & Games'. The presentation was followed by an enthusiastic question and answer session, and in fact Steve struggled to leave the area for 40 minutes after the presentation due to the number of energetic Indian Toy people wanting to discuss their ventures and ask for advice on how they should get ahead in the Toy biz.
Overall Kids India 2024 was a very successful show for us. Our positioning with regards to the Indian Toy industry has three elements: Firstly, we have been helping companies from around the world find Toy manufacturing in India for more than a decade, we have introduced 5/10 of the world's biggest Toy companies to Indian Toy factories. Secondly, we have begun helping international companies find distribution into India's burgeoning Toy market. Thirdly, there is a growing trend for Indian Toy companies to seek investment capital for accelerated growth, and we have been advising some of these companies on a fast track. On all three of these areas, we had a successful Kids India show in 2024.
Like many national shows, this event is a significant gathering of people from across the domestic industry, with international visitors making up a smaller but nevertheless important group in attendance. We spoke to many of these international visitors who were very positive in their feedback for the show, and who had found significant opportunities to buy products from India as well as to find ways to sell their products into India.
In summary, Kids India 2024 was a successful show, and we look forward to returning in 2025.
